Getting Started with SurelyCrm

Welcome to SurelyCrm. This guide covers everything you need to know to log in, find your way around, and start managing your customers effectively.

Logging In

Your administrator will provide you with login credentials for your SurelyCrm instance. The standard login URL is:

https://app.surelycrm.co.uk

If your organisation uses a custom domain, use the URL provided by your admin. If two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled, you will be prompted to enter a code from your authenticator app after submitting your username and password.

Demo Environment: You can explore SurelyCrm without risk at demo.surelycrm.co.uk using username demo and password Password1!

The Dashboard

After logging in, you land on the Dashboard. This gives you a high-level overview of your customer operations, including:

  • Quick stats on new leads, deals won, and revenue
  • Active workflow instances
  • Recent customer activity
  • Pending tasks and notifications

The left sidebar provides navigation to all major sections: Customers, Workflows, Communications, Support, Reporting, and Settings (admin only).

SectionWhat You Can Do
CustomersView lists, search, create, edit, and manage full customer profiles
WorkflowsBuild automations, view running instances, start workflows manually
Bulk ActionsSend mass emails or SMS, update statuses, or trigger workflows for filtered groups
SupportManage support tickets, assign requests, and communicate with customers
ReportingRun parameterised reports and export to Excel
SettingsManage users, statuses, templates, custom fields, and app configuration (Admin only)

Your First Customer

To create a customer record:

  1. Navigate to Customers in the sidebar.
  2. Click the New Customer button.
  3. Fill in the required fields: Name, Email, and Phone.
  4. Assign a Status (e.g., New Lead, Active, On Hold).
  5. Assign an Owner (the team member responsible).
  6. Click Save.

SurelyCrm automatically generates a unique Reference Number for every customer. You can also add custom fields, documents, payment plans, and notes after the record is created.

The customer list includes a global search bar that matches names, emails, reference numbers, and phone numbers. For more precise filtering, create a Custom View with specific criteria such as status, owner, date ranges, balance thresholds, and postcode.

Understanding Roles

SurelyCrm uses role-based access control:

  • Administrator — Full access to all features, settings, user management, and configuration.
  • Standard User — Can manage customers, view workflows, handle support tickets, and use communications features. Cannot access system settings or manage other users.
